FRIGHT FEST
Our five favorite movies to watch every Halloween.
1) It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!— Okay, at twenty five minutes it’s not technically a movie, but you cannot go a year without watching Charles Schultz’s classic Peanuts Holiday Special.
2) The Witches— The 90’s british adaptation of Roald Dahl’s children’s book is a classic, starring Anjelica Huston. It’s imaginative and fun, and it’s okay to admit it— those witches are downright scary looking.
3) Shaun of The Dead— This movie has us screaming— in horror and laughter. We just love to watch Shaun, played by Simon Pegg try and save his ragtag team of friends, and mom, from the zombie apocalypse.
4) The Blair Witch Project— It’s a classic horror film. Beware anything that goes bump in the night for a while after this one, because all the tension is built by what you never see on screen.
5) The Nightmare Before Christmas— Nothing says Halloween quite like Tim Burton’s dark, imaginative, twisted mind, so his cult classic The Nightmare Before Christmas is a no brainer.
