There is a reason 4Knots Festival calls South Street Seaport its home. The festival’s name is historic and means, “the speed of the water as it moves through New York’s East River at the South Street Seaport.” The festivals second year was successful in showcasing known and emerging artists alike. Bands like Breached, The Drums, and Team Spirit rocked the shorefront. There was an eclectic crowd, a scenic backdrop to gaze at and cold beers to drink: it was definitely an ideal summer retreat from our stuffy New York apartments. — Emily Marucci
