(Verana Hotel in Yelapa Mexico)

It’s been a really busy month for parties but one of the best I attended was the launch ofAHotelLife.com at Acme. The site basically covers the coolest hotels in the world so if you’re headed to say, Berlin and need to know what hotel to choose, you just go to A Hotel Life and find what Berlin hotels are featured. The contributors are all creatives who travel such as Waris, Curtis Kulig, and Chelsea Leyland, so you know the places are recommended by like-minded individuals. I love it! There are some amazing hotels featured like this rustic inn Deetjen’s Big Sur in California:

I was at Opening Ceremony last weekend and fell in love with the spring collection by Korean label Fleamadonna. They have these sailor shirts that are nautical perfection and I need one stat.

It was my birthday a few weeks ago and the highlight was for SURE the cake made for me by Amirah Kassem of Flourshop. Her cakes are so funny and clever and she made a little homage to my red lips with red frosting atop the most delicious carrot cake I have ever tasted in my life. She made it look like chocolate but it was cream cheese. Outstanding! We are working on some fun projects for my website anniversary coming up soon.

I had a really nice surprise when a Bowery Bear showed up at my door. I had been to the hotel for the Fall preview of the awesome new Maguire denim line and admitted I’d always wanted one and they were kind enough to send me a bear that afternoon! It was the highlight of my week! Most people get I Heart NY tees or whatever, but I think the Bowery Bear is the coolest New York souvenir these days.

I arranged to meet my friend Brianna for coffee on Saturday (she’s the enormously talented head designer at Reformation) and we went to Happy Bones Coffee & Publications on Bond Street which is hidden away in the back of Selima Optique store. The decor feels quite Danish, and it’s got a super chill and peaceful vibe. There are only a few tables but it’s such a nice place to really relax and have a strong coffee.  They have design books for sale also. The barista was really friendly, so I think this is my new favorite coffee spot. Wanna go? 7 Bond Street, New York NY 10012
