TOUR GUIDE: TORO Y MOI

Winter tour announced in support of Toro Y Moi’s third album release.

Chaz Bundick, the chill wave maestro behind Toro Y Moi is back with his third long player to be released early in the New Year. Anything In Return is out January 22 on Carpark Records, and the early signs suggest this is another top quality release from the prolific music maker. The first single “So Many Details” is a mellow jam with a super smooth beat and playful jazz tinged electric piano. With this project, the song writing form is more conventional, in line with Bundick’s more recent releases. Personally I was a huge fan of his first record Causers Of This (so this review is a little biased…), but I can’t wait to get my clammy hands on Anything In Return. With an extensive winter tour announced, in support of the record, and some impressive venues lined up — like New York’s Webster Hall — 2013 is starting with a bang for Mr. Moi. See tour dates below and keep an eye out for the release early next year.
